I have my bones and skeleton ( a cylinder) which I thimk are attatched. So how do I manipulate the bones to deform the cylinder?

I can't seem to join the bones together. Do I move on to the animation tab for this?
Is there a way to invert the z and y axis in the config? I saw an old post about this but is this possible ... |
