Sorry, but i've had no much time to use it. After installation at a first sight i noticed that you need a lot of work to reach your goal, but mine may be a wrong impression. Sincerely i don't like the program interface, for me it's a little poor and not so useable.
I'm now trying to learn other programs, pherhaps when yours will be finished and full working i'll try to use it again.
Bye and thank you for your attention and passion.

I am surprised by your answer.
You asked for a new version, and then say you don't like the interface, which is the same for some years now. So, why did you ask for a new version if you don't like the program?
But, to be more constructive, can you explain what you don't like, or what you would like to find?
Bye,

Pierre,
As a very new user of A3D I must confess that its GUI is a little confusing for me too, at a first glance (but so is Blender, and it's still a very powerful modeler).
Apart of that, it seems to be a very gifted application, managing operations that one can find only in very expensive commercial modelers.
So, carefully reading the help and "with a little help from my friends" here (to quote the title of a very nice song of the 70's ), I hope I'll come to manage it.
Pierre, you have all my admiration and respect .
I imagine what a huge work stands behind your program and how disappointed you can be reading a post like achilles' last one
Keep up the good work!
Regards,
Dan |

I'm sorry but i didn't want to offend you.
I only said that now i haven't much time to use your program. When i asked you the address of the download i thought that Albatross3d was at a more advanced step, but when i saw that is still incomplete and about with the same characteristics of old versions i decided to wait for next version.
In other posts i told you that the program interface for me is a little confusing and not so well useable. The graphic appeal of the icons and controls is not very fine. I don't pretend that a free program developped by one person would be at the level of expensive ones like Houdini, Messiah, Modo or Cinema4d (the ones which interface and appeal i like more, even if very expensive and difficult to manage), but i think that if you want you can make the interface finer and more useable.
I'll wait for next stable and more complete version to make further considerations.
For now i'm trying to learn using software like Carrara, Hexagon and others.
Thank you for your work and passion.
Bye.

I am not offended at all. It is better to have criticisms than not a word. But, If you can propose a better interface, or explain what you find confusing or not very usable, I am ready to update the program. The icons can be changed, the 3d manipulator too.
