I'm running this through some work, and I started with an airplane wing; some thing I have done quite a few times. But I can't seem to sellect an entire side to scale. I've tried verts, faces and edges, what I need are points. How would I sellect just one side and the entier side to scale?
This is my wing starting block , what I do is scale the vertical edges then move the hoazontal edges to round the front of the wing, then work on rounding the corners.

use shift to add to the selection.
in mesh toolbax, select the wing.
go to face or vertex toolbox. Use one of the section tool (rectangle or lasso, od simple select and "fly" above the faces).
then with 3D manipulator (space to hide/show if) scale your selction.

that's it.
