Hi,
I had an idea that would make life easier when working with cilanders, cones and spheres. Would it be very hard to add a feature that lets you select a "layer" of vertecies by clicking on one vertex in the layer?
Thanks,

What is a layer of vertices ?
a user defined group of vertices ?
what I don't see is in which way the layer of vertices will help you with cylinder, cone and sphere.
if you want to select a raw of vertices, use the vertex loop tool:
select 2 vertices connected by an edge, then press 'L'.
You can select a ring ofvertices with the 'R' key.

Yeah sorry,
I probably didn't explain that very well. I ment a ring of vertacies, with the option to select a (row) going verticly, or a ring horisontaly.
I hope I'm making sense...I could explain so easily with a picture, oh well. |

The the 'L' and 'R' keys are the way to go. play a little bit with it to have a feeling of what these commands are doing and tell me if it is what you have in mind.... |

Ah yes,
I was aware of the lassoo and rec-select tools (just not their keyboard shortcut), but I beleive my idea will be much more useful in certain situations.
Because it seems too hard to explain without a picture, I am sending you one. The rest of my explanation will be attached. |

I'm waitting for the pictures.
but use the Upper case letter. and loop tool is not lasso.
lasso is map on the 'l' key, loop on the 'L' key. |
