Happy new Year to all
Yes, still working on it... I have migrated A3D to 64 bits. In the process, I have lost the scripting engine. It is too much work to migrate it, so I have taken another path: Python. It is already quite advanced, but not completely finished. I am doing the appleseed exporter in order to test the python integration.
splice (http://fabricengine.com/) is also integrated and provide a lot of flexibility/power. I will continue the splice integration.
Improved opengl rendering is also done, but I am still missing the post processing effects... Once these 3 points are finished, I will release a new version.
In the meantime, I will prepare a new beta for you neo, in the coming days...
will send you the link privately!!

Will it be 64-bit only? |

I think I can build a 32 bits... but, I will try to maintain only the 64 bits from now.
So, on request, i can build a 32 bits, but I won't test it...
SPLICE is available only on 64 bits for example. |

of splice?
there is a video here: https://vimeo.com/95213882
but, I plane to integrate it fully... it will be available as a geometry creator/instancer, as a modifier, as a an animatrion constraint....
Splice 2.0 will be node based, so I will probably take some time to integrate, but I will try to make it as powerful as possible.
A3D will be able to run without splice... but I hope splice will open the door to many tools, libraries.... |

yes... I am part of Splice 2.0 beta program... I am doing my best to integrate canvas (their new framework: http://fabricengine.com/canvas/) in A3D in order to be ready to launch a new beta of A3D as soon as splice is going public beta too!! I really want to integrate splice deeply into A3D... |

I made one last month, without fabric engine. but, definitely, yes.
I also worked on on Mac version... but still blocked by two thinks:
- problem of threading with cocoa
- unable to draw on top of opengl windows
for the first one, I didn't find a lot on the net... but, maybe switching from pthread to TBB will solve the problem. For the second one, i found a few hints, but didn't succeed in making them work on my own case!!!
a screenshot of a Fabric test DFG:

So A3D is getting non-linear animation, going by the screenshot? That would be awesome.

Was it a private beta, or would you like to publish it? |

for the moment, Fabric Canvas is still under private alpha... and evolving quite fast. so, I am not authorised to make a private beta for the moment.
And, not ready too... Fabric splice is working fine in A3D, but I still have problem to solve with canvas...
I already integrated more of splice than provided by the maya integration for example, as I am supporting Charater (.http://fabricengine.com/character-api/), fully imported from A3D into fabric. so, the rigging toolbox http://fabricengine.com/rigging-toolbox/ will be fully available. and still waiting for Kraken (http://fabricengine.com/kraken/)...
a lot more will be available through canvas, like Alembic and fbx reading/writting, and many project are ongoing!! |

Thanks for the update.
I meant the other beta you mentioned—the one without Splice. Will you publish that one or is it private only? |
